What is Litfield?

Litfield is an online writing community led by poet and essayist Danusha Laméris—a touchstone for your writing life. We provide craft talks by Danusha and visiting poets, writing prompts, sessions in which to write together, and a library of recorded classes and readings.

Who is Litfield for?

You might be finding your way into writing, returning after time away, working toward publication, or looking for a community after an MFA. Litfield brings together poets who care about and have respect for one another and the process of learning.

Looking for a higher level of support?  Danusha offers a mentorship with a small group of poets.

Meet Our Guest Poets

Carey Taylor

Litfield is everything I want in a poetry workshop/program: Exposure to guest poets and their work, wonderful craft workshops with poem examples from Danusha, an online community to connect to others participating in the program, and the opportunity to join a prompt class to inspire my writing and a place to read and share our work if we choose. In short, this program is the first one that has met all my poetry needs and desires in one place!

I already feel supported by the structure of the community- and that support always inspires me to actually get words on paper/screen...  ...this Wednesday’s Monthly Muse got me writing! For a whole hour! That one gathering felt like a spark- and I had a wonderfully hard time falling asleep that night because my creative juices were flowing.

Teresa Williams

I’m really resonating with Danusha’s craft talks. They’re giving me fresh insights into how I can strengthen my own work and how to approach reading and writing poems through the different lenses she provides.
